Married to Debbie Sprayberry Hess with two daughters, Jessica and Stacie.
Current Calhoun County Commissioner serving a fourth term. Was awarded the Public Servant of the Year from Calhoun County Veterans Council in 1993.
Served 20 years with the Anniston Fire Department and owns Hess Siding.
Graduated from Saks High School and a graduate of Levels 1 and 2 of County Commissioners College at Auburn University.
